The Physics Room is constituted as a charitable trust. Its Board of Trustees is made up of members drawn from the professional, academic and visual arts communities of the region which it serves directly. New board members are voted on as positions become available, so please contact the Physics Room if you are interested in applying to become a board member. Board members take an active role in strategic planning for the Physics Room’s future, as well as monitoring activity and programme performance, meeting every two months, as well as serving on sub committees when required. The current board is comprised of:

The Trust employs a Director, currently Kate Montgomery, who is responsible for the implementation of both programming and project development in consultation with, and with the active assistance of the Trust board. A Programme Coordinator is also employed, currently Vanessa Coxhead. Jamie Richardson is employed as the gallery’s technician. Additional and temporary staff are also employed at various stages, through participation in the Work and Income New Zealand Task Force Green and Community Wage schemes, and support from the Canterbury Development Corporation’s ACE scheme.
