Cascade is made up of a series of blurred acoustic images of work, money, social engagement, and natural forces that build and pan through a stereo sound space set up in Otira's train station. Paralleling both the movement of trains and the historical trajectory of economic activity through the town, the piece serves as an audible ghost of the currencies that both built and abandoned Otira.
