Autumn Song is an "auto-biofictional" video and suite of digital stills that explores themes of confilct and bi-cultural memory. The fragmented and poetic narrative of Autumn Song articulates childhood memories of the Greek-Australian milkbar run by Conomos' father, days spent gazing at the world outside the store window, contrasted with footage of the artist performing on the rocky landscape of the Greek island Kythera, his spiritual home. Conomos maps out a symbolic space where an ambiguous post-colonial identity is articulated, seen through the lens of a bi-cultural childhood.
