André Guedes, The Airotiv Papers
The Airotiv Papers
was published in the context of Airotiv, a solo show by André Guedes at Centro Cultural Montehermoso in Vitoria, Spain, 2009. It is formed by an appendix of archive pictures and the re-publishing of four texts previously released in New Zealand: 'The Sugarbag Years' (1974) by Tony Simpson, 'The Heyday of the One-Act Play 1930-1945' (1984) by John Thomson, 'Rabbits' (1932) by Violet Targuse and 'Port Supermarket Checks Out' (2008) by Ian Steward.

Audible: New Frontiers
Audio CD Catalogue of Physics Room & Radio NZ production

The Physics Room and National Radio’s Revolutions Per Minute programme joined with curator Sally McIntyre to bring several of the country’s emerging sound artists out of their bedrooms and studios. These new audio works were commissioned for installation in the Physics Room gallery and simultaneous airing on the RPM radio programme. The six artists taking part in the project and featured on the CD are: Philip Dadson, Richard Francis, John McCallum, Radioqualia, Rachel Shearer, Wendyhouse.


The Loni and Roni Show
In recognition of the 2003 Pacific Arts Association Symposium in Christchurch, The Physics Room and curator Stephanie Oberg present ‘The Loni and Roni Show’, an exhibition in which artists Lonnie Hutchinson (Ngai Tahu / Samoan) and Veronica Vaevae (Cook Island / New Zealand) contemplate the Pacific. A lush publication accompanies the dynamic exhibition, featuring full colour documentation, poetry from Danielle O’Halloran and MC Anton Carter (Beats and Pieces), plus a critical essay ‘Enter the Pacific from Down Under’ by curator Stephanie Oberg.
