Measure the city with the body
ST PAUL St Gallery One
40 St Paul St
Auckland, New Zealand
Opening preview: 5:30 pm Thursday 25 August
Due to the 22 February Canterbury Earthquake The Physics Room is currently closed until further notice and all scheduled events have been postponed. We are pleased to report that all our staff and board members are safe.
A detailed assessment of our building at 209 Tuam Street has been conducted and although our premises were reasonably unscathed it resides within a cordoned off area of the Christchurch CBD which is not currently accessible. We were granted limited access to our building to retrieve essential items and have relocated our office to CPIT where we have joined a number of other Christchurch arts organisations left homeless after the earthquake.
Thank you to all those who have offered support over this time as our city, and the wider region, looks to rebuild and develop. We look forward to reconnecting with our audiences as the arts and culture have an important part to play in this process.
As further information becomes available we promise to keep you informed.
